THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO IN A WEDDING AS A GUEST

wedding guest drunk
Having guests during weddings should normally bring joy to the couple but some wedding guests just don’t know how to behave.
Here are things you should never do in a wedding as a guest
1. DRINKING TOO MUCH
We know you are the alcohol lord among your pals, but it’s expected you leave that skill at home when attending a wedding. No one wants to know how good you are when it comes to alcohol and it’s also really embarrassing to have a passed-out wedding guest.
2. RUSH THE BUFFET
Just because it’s a buffet is no excuse for you to go to the buffet when it’s not your turn. It’s just bad manners. Don’t act like you don’t have food to eat at home. Each table is invited up to the buffet in an organized manner so it’s proper you wait for your turn.
3. WEAR WHITE
You should never wear white, ivory or cream to someone else’s wedding. Traditionally, only the bride should wear white in a wedding. Except you are on a mission to steal the groom from the bride, you shouldn’t wear white when attending a wedding.

4. MAKING UNLIMITED TRIPS TO THE BUFFET
It’s embarrassing seeing grown men and ladies doing this during a wedding. You are not the only guest in the wedding that needs to be fed. You should keep in mind that all guests in the wedding needs to be fed so limit your trips to the buffet. Stop embarrassing yourself. You didn’t come to the wedding the have your breakfast, lunch and dinner.
5. DRESSING WAY TOO CASUAL
Wearing something way too casual for a wedding isn’t something you should be caught doing. Also avoid wearing something you would normally wear to a club. It’s a wedding for goodness sake and you are expected to dress appropriately.
6. INCESSANTLY TAKING PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY
Please could you be on seat and observe the wedding ceremony? You should observe the wedding proceedings and not take photos. Besides, the couple hired a photographer to do that. If you have to take photos, please, that should be done during the reception and not during the ceremony. You should also avoid standing in the way of the photographer paid to cover the event, you ruin the beautiful pictures they’ve been paid to capture.
7. READJUSTING THE SEATS
Time, energy and even money have been spent to create a lovely seating arrangement with the beautiful decorations so readjusting the seating arrangements so that you can hang out with some other friends and family is totally wrong.
8. ARGUING WITH THE DJ BECAUSE YOU DON’T LIKE THE MUSIC
It’s not your wedding; you should remember you are just a guest in the wedding. The DJ is working with a playlist created by the couple so you shouldn’t fight with the DJ just because you don’t like the music.
9. CHATTING AND CATCHING UP WITH FRIENDS DURING THE CEREMONY
Chatting and catching up with friends or being on your phone is disrespectful and it isn’t something you should do during a wedding ceremony. There will be plenty of time to do that during the reception so just pay attention and be quiet.
10. ARRIVE LATE TO THE CEREMONY
Arriving on time for the wedding ceremony is important. You shouldn’t just assume everyone would be late. It’s even worse when you just decide against attending the ceremony and choose to only attend the reception.
