TEN Karoi villagers were recently arrested for growing marijuana.
The villagers were identified as Talent Walapa (23), Tarisai Chisango (24), Jane Chitupe (23), Ellen Changa (26), Tebes Sirika, Talent Tambala (24), Easyman Bikausaru (40), Tonderai Kapamhare (38), Fanuel Karima and a juvenile.
National police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed the arrests saying the suspects will soon appear in court.

"I can confirm the arrests of 10 people who were nabbed in Karoi after patrolling members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police stationed at Karoi Rural Police Station came across 1 088 plants," she said.
Meanwhile, Prosper Dembedza reports that a 21-year-old Harare man told a magistrate smoking marijuana motivates him to hustle hard and generate money for his upkeep.
Norman Tawarira of Block 5 Magaba, Mbare, was facing charges of contravening the Dangerous Drugs Act after he was caught smoking marijuana.
Tawarira pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe on Friday.
Mr Mahwe convicted Tawarira and ordered him to pay $20 before April 19.
In passing sentence, Mr Mahwe took into account that Tawarira was a first offender who pleaded guilty to the charge without wasting the court's time.
The magistrate said it was clear from the quantity of the drug that it was not for commercial purposes.
Allegations are that on April 13, Tawarira was arrested after he was found smoking dagga.
He was found with one satchet of dagga when he was searched.
