These rappers have proven that they are talented in more ways than one. Beyond feats of music greatness, rap stars have a tendency to strive for as many superlatives as possible. From Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar deeming himself “the King of New York” to Snoop Dogg being Instagram’s most active celebrity, rappers love to add as many titles to their calling card as possible.

But there’s no higher achievement than being named unequivocally the best by the Guinness Book of World Records.

With the Guinness Book celebrating its 60th year in 2015, here’s a recap of hip-hop stars who’ve graced the pages and gone down in history.

1. Eminem

Em’s 2013 single, Rap God set the record for most words in a song. The quick-tongued Detroit rapper averages more than 4 words a second.

2. Chiddy Bang

Back in 2011, the Opposite of Adults rapper set the Guinness record for “Longest Freestyle Rap.” Chiddy rapped for 9 hours, 16 minutes and 22 seconds.

3. Twista

The Chicago MC ironically known for his hit Slow Jamz, entered the Guinness Book of World Records back in 1992 for being the fastest rapper in history. At the time, he was clocked at rapping at a rate of 11.2 syllables per second.

4. Jay Z

Brooklyn’s boy actually has held numerous records throughout his career. One of his greatest feats was in 2006 when he performed the most live shows in a 24-hour stretch. HOV performed a seven-city Hangar Tour within 24-hours, going from Atlanta to Las Vegas. It was all in promotion of his album Kingdom Come.

5. Jay Z and Beyonce

Hip-hop royalty is no stranger to record holding. Back in 2009, Jay and Bey made it into the Guinness Book for holding the title of highest earning power couple with $122 million. They’re set to smash their own record again thanks to their $100 million grossing On The Run joint-tour this past summer.

6. Willow Smith

The preteen heiress to the Fresh Prince throne broke the record for youngest artist to have a Top 20 hit in the U.S. and U.K. with 2010’s “Whip My Hair.” Smith was 10 years old at the time.

7. Ludacris

Ludacris joined the record books in 2008 when he, along with his friend, rocker Tommy Lee, participated in the largest group shower ever. Luda was among over 1,000 participants to take part in the public cleaning at the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas.
